Analog reading with Netio

This is an illustration of what can be done with AlarmM android application. AlarmM is the swiss knife of the security system since it can monitor different device on the same interface and link input of any device(s) to any output(s) of any device(s). More than that it can also be combined with all the functionalities of a smartphone. This page is specifally showing analog configuration but everything described in previous chapter such as automatic phone call, automatic SMS, automatic e-mail, automatic grabbing picture on network camera, automatic logging, automatic ring tone, etc, can be achieved independantly with every kind of devices. Below is only a few example of the AlamrM application capabilities.

Wake up the phone

The application can customize invidual alarm for every kind of analog input. When the trigger level is reached the application launch the action associated with the IO. An unlimited number of alarm can be created. Each IO is associated with action such as switching the state of one or more output to one or more IO board. Netio products will be usefull in application where it is need to control a light remotly. In the video below the phone is wake up with a different sound when the netio power socket is switch ON/OFF

Reading and formating

All the basic functionallities of the AlarmM such as Normally open or closed are applying the the Analog too. The configuration of the device is following exactly the same principe describe in the tutorial page. AlarmM application is running as a background task. It will monitor the devices even if the smartephone is sleeping. Every IO can have it's own customize format. Every Analog IO can have it's own trigger level and scaling.

Email

The AlarmM application can send different kind of message (automatic SMS, automatic phone Call) when an Alarm is triggered. In the video below AlarmM is monitoring input of a Netio power socket and send an email when an alarm is triggered.

Easilly setup in five minutes

All the menu are interactive. The video on the right side show how easy it is to setup an analog device.

I. Settings the device

An unlimited number of device can be configured. It's possible to configure the same device with different protocols and different alarm.

III. Choose the driver

The application support hardware specific protocol. Sinply choose the Brand and Model corresponding to the device.

III. Network configuration

Only a few field are nescessary to get the device configured. The Local IP address is the one attribute by the DHCP of the router, port must be the same than the analog device configuration. Global IP is only used if the smartephone is on an unknown public wifi network or the device has a known domain.

Once the event have been configured, they can be used in the alarm system to send automatically email, sms, call and also grab a picture on any IP camera on the network. The trigger event of a modbus device can be link to a camera in order to grab picture.
